Our bases on the Clyde are at Kip, and Portavadie marinas and on the west coast at Craobh marina. Sailing on the Clyde offers the chance to sail in comparatively sheltered water with easy marina access. For the inexperienced the Firth of Clyde with its sea lochs has many sheltered anchorages often with visitors moorings, hotels and restaurants ashore, beaches, and opportunities for walking and climbing. For the more experienced Cruising from our base at Craobh opens up the whole adventure of sailing to the inner and outer Hebrides. The islands are often remote and uninhabited and marinas are few. A real adventure for the yachtsman with a wish to be independant and to explore new waters.
Our yachts are constantly being upgraded and renewed and we are able to offer a good list of modern yachts as well as a few older and well tried ones. The present fleet for bareboat and skippered charter comprises:
For bareboat charter:- Dofour 40, Dufour 385 (2), Beneteau 411 and 343, Bavaria 38, Elan 333 and GibSea 33 and for skippered charter a 65ftpilothouse ketch, a Dufour 45 and a Beneteau 46
We are always happy to discuss an itinerary with charterers and to offer advice on the weather to expect, distances, anchorages, shopping and eating ashore. The West of Scotland offers space to sail away from the crowds which spoil so many other areas. It is still possible to sail all day seeing few other yachts and to occupy at night an otherwise deserted anchorage.
